coming back

Posted on Jan 10th, 2008 by sara : progressive learner sara
It seams that my unplugged vacation took a bit more than it was expected!
Things just started to be too overwelming around here I guess.
Anyway, I will try to get back again, as I love you all, and miss all the buzz about being zaadzed!
p.s.
I have about 152 mail messages to answer, I'm sorry for that.

I will be on an unpluged holiday for a couple of weeks. I'm going with the kids for a beach vacation in south Portugal and I'm not taking the computer. Hope you all enjoy these last summer days.

coming back

I arrived from India a week ago but I don't feel I've completely come back. It was a wonderful trip, I think I had a culture shock for the first time. It was so hot that I never managed to stay for more than ten minutes in any net cafe, so I'm catching up with my mail in yhese last days. We went to MacLeod Ganj, which is where the government in exile of Tibet is and it was the Dalai Lama teachings time. We didn't get to go and listen to it as there were 5000 people before us, but we could listen to him speaking from our balcony. This is quite a diferet place from the rest of the India I saw, specially when it comes to pollution and garbage policy. Many hotels are sponsoring garbage collection points and that makes a lot of difference, although there are sewage canals by each road like in where I've been in the Rajastan. I was quite shocked with all kinds of pollution I've seen everywhere, soud pollution, water pollution or pollution generated by the trafic and generators shopkeepers own to assure they have their own electricity. It is a big, big problem for all of us. But it's a wonderful country and I will be back.

This last week was a holiday week here in Portugal, everything stops. Usually I don't but this year I did too. We went to the country for a few days. No computer, barefoot, walks in the country, conversations with friends and playing with the children. Not much and so much at the same time.

favorite things

Posted on May 15th, 2006 by sara : progressive learner sara
I just posted this poem in the the beloved's teahouse pod. It's one of my favorite poems and I would like to share it with you Keeper of flocks (by Alberto Caeiro) I’m a keeper of flocks The flocks are my thoughts. And all my thoughts are feelings I feel with my eyes and ears, And with hands and feet, And with nose and mouth. To think a flower is to see and to feel it, And to eat a fruit is to taste its meaning So when in a hot day I feel sad for enjoying it so much And I lay on the grass And close my hot eyes, I feel my whole body laying down in fact I know the truth and am happy.
